The AAIS has been developing various initiatives looking at enhancing companies operational readiness and competitiveness to serve the aerospace industry.
Some of these initiatives include:
AeroConsortiums
The formation of a consortium where different aerospace companies can maximise strength and competitiveness by offering complementing products and services.
AeroConsult Group
The AAIS AeroConsult Group looks at the provision of both in-house and 3rd party knowledge expertise to the industry in industry specific and generic consultancy and project management work ranging from AS9100 series and Nadcap, ISO standards, 3rd party audit, risk analysis and benchmarking etc.
AeroIntelligence Unit(AIU)
The newly form AAIS AeroIntelligence Unit (AIU) is created with the objective of providing a one stop resource platform for organisations who are looking for that critical and decision making information for their business in the aerospace sector. The AIU will be coming up with a series of activities including country forecast seminar and in-depth sharing session with the industry wokring on both standard and customise project to cater to each individual organisation needs and requirements.
AS 9100/9110/9120 and Nadcap
Assisting local-based companies in implementing Quality Management Systems such as ISO14001, OSHAS18001, ISO90001, AS9100 - AS9120 and Nadcap via government funding and assistance schemes.
Technology Adoption
Encouraging the use of technology via the Technology Improvement and Adoption Programme (TIA) funding scheme
